Density, Ultrasonic Velocity, Viscosity and their Excess Parameters of Some Binary Liquid Mixtures of Cumene with Aromatic Hydrocarbons at 298.15 K

Density (ρ), viscosity (η) and sound velocity (u) of binary mixtures of ethyl benzene, toluene, mesitylene with cumene have been measured over the entire range of composition at temperature 298.15 K. From the experimental density, viscosity and sound velocity, the excess sound velocity (uE) and deviation in viscosity (Δη) have been calculated. The excess sound velocity (uE) is positive and deviations in viscosities are negative for all the binary systems studies over the whole composition. The results have been used to discuss the nature and strength of intermolecular interactions in these mixtures.
