Formulation and Characterization of Minoxidil Oral Thin Film

Objective: The primary aim of the current investigation was to formulate and assess immediate-release oral thin films of minoxidil, with the
goal of increasing the bioavailability of the medication and accelerating its onset of action, thereby enhancing patient adherence.
Methods: Using a film-forming polymer such as hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, the solvent evaporation method was used to create instantrelease
oral thin films of minoxidil.
Results: A number of physicochemical characteristics, such as drug content, in vitro drug release, folding endurance, tensile strength,
thickness and weight change, were assessed for the films. Since the formed films F1-F9 were immediately wetted by the dissolving medium,
