TBAI/CS2 Mediated Cleaner, Greener Synthesis and Anticancer Activity of 3-Substituted- (4-Oxo-2-Thioxo-Thiazolidin-5-Ylidene)-Methyl Ethanoates

Owing to the key importance of 3- substituted- (4-oxo-2-thioxo-thiazolidin-5- ylidene)-methyl ethanoates in various biological activities, a new greener, cleaner and cheaper method is being put forward here employing primary amines, but-2-yne dioic acid dimethyl ester, CS2 and phase transfer catalyst tetrabutyl ammonium iodide (TBAI) in dimethyl sulphoxide. The synthesized compounds have been found to possess good in-vitro anti-cancer activities against cervical cancer cells, colon cancer cells and brain cancer cells. .. Read More»
