Synthetic approach towards the stereoisomers of Diospongin family

Venkata RaoaEight stereoisomers of diospongin family, have been planned to achieve in an efficient manner over 8–9 linear steps starting from economical and commercially available benzaldehyde following keck allylation protocol, crossmetathesis (CM), and tandem isomerization followed by C–O and C–C bond formation reaction and then Grignard reaction.
