Abstract

Synthesis of ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate catalyzed by (NH4)6[MnMo9O32].8H2O with Waugh structure

(NH4)6[MnMo9O32]·8H2O with Waugh structure was used as a catalyst for synthesizing ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate. Control variate method was adopted to determine reaction conditions. Optimum conditions determined by experiment: alcohol acid mole ratio was 4:1; 0.2g catalyst and 3ml water-carrying reagent were used; reaction time was 2.0h;2 conversion rate reached 96.3%.
