Author(s): D. Srikrishna, P. K. Dubey3-acetylchromen-2-ones (1) when treated with phenylhydrazine in acetic acid gave 3-(1-(2-phenylhydrazono)ethyl)- 2H-chromen-2-ones (2) which on Vilsmeier-Haack reaction gave the title compounds 3-(2-oxo-2H-chromen-3-yl)-1- phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehydes (3).
