Abstract
Synthesis, characterization and biological activity of some new 5- halo-4, 6-dimethoxy-2-(alkoxy or aryloxy) pyrimidines

Suchetha Kumari cNew 5-halo-4, 6-dimethoxy-2-(alkoxy or aryloxy) pyrimidines (4a-r) were prepared from 5-halo- 4,6-dialkoxy,2-methylsulfonylpyrimidine. The structure of newly synthesized compounds was characterized by their spectral date. The newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for their anmicrobial and antifungal studies. Some of the compounds showed moderate to good activity.
