Abstract
Synthesis, antibacterial and antifungal properties of novel organophosphorus compounds
Author(s): Kalpana Chaturvedi, Ashish Kumar, Abhinav MishraA series of biologically active organophosphorus compounds have been synthesized by the reactions of Phenylphosphonic dichloride / 4-Chlorophenyl dichlorophosphate with 5-( phenyl / substituted phenyl )-1,3,4- thiadiazol-2-ylcarbamodithioic acids . The compounds have been characterized on the basis of elemental analyses and spectral (IR, 1H NMR 31P NMR) data. All the compounds were screened for their anti microbial activity. They were found to possess significant anti-microbial activity.
