Abstract
Synthesis and pharmacological screening studies of some novel imidazo[2,1-b][1,3,4]thiadiazole
Author(s): Madhu Kumar Dogganal Jayappaa, Jagadeesh Prasad Dasappaa, Rejeesh Edavan Puthallathb and Prakash Anil CastelinoaA series of novel heterocyclic systems 2-((6-(aryl)imidazo[2,1-b][1,3,4]thiadiazol-2-yl)thio)-N-(4- fluorophenyl)acetamide (4a-k) were obtained by heating 2-((5-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)thio)-N-(4- fluorophenyl)acetamide (3) with various α-haloketones. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by spectral techniques and evaluated for their antibacterial, antifungal, anthelmintic activity and in-vivo antiinflammatory, analgesic activities. The pharmacological results revealed that some of the tested compounds showed good activity
