Synthesis and microbial studies of novel 1, 3-thiaz ine compounds bearing schiff base moiety
Author(s): K. Babu, D. Selvi and P. Pitchai*The present investigations describe about the synth esis, characterization and biological studies of no vel 1,3-thiazine derivatives. These compounds are synthesized by per forming reaction between thiourea and various chalc ones derived by claisen-schimidt reaction between variou s schiff bases of p-NH 2 -acetophenone and p-Cl-benzaldehyde. The structures of all the synthesized compounds wer e elucidated by using spectral data and anti-microb ial activity studied by using disc diffusion method.
