Author(s): Furat Latif Yahya, Farah Ali Dawood and Rehab Kadhim Raheem Al-shemary*The review summarizes the synthesis, characterization, and antimicrobial activities of sulfa drugs metal complexes, keeping in mind the importance of sulfa drug-based transition metal complexes. Several fertile restraints contain aldehydes or amines, but the bond (C=N) is supposedly attributed to the Schiff bases' more stable role in many situations. Compounds containing an azomethine group (–CH=N–) are known as Schiff bases, and the development of a new chemotherapeutic Schiff base is now attracting attention. Sulfadiazine is a sulfonamide antibiotic that is on the Essential Medicines List of the World Health Organization. It works by preventing the bacterial cell from producing folate, which kills bacteria that cause infections. It's commonly used to treat infections of the urinary tract.
