Indion-860: A green catalyzed one pot multi component reaction to synthesis of 1,8-dioxodecahydroacridines
Author(s): V. Srinivas Gouda, Monalisa BoruahIndion 860 in PEG-400 facilitated the multi component reaction of 5,5-dimethylcyclohexane-1,3-dione (1), aldehydes (2) and aniline (3) leading to 1,8-dioxodecahydroacridines. The methodology is green, rapid, inexpensive and operationally simple high yielding method. The catalyst can be recovered and recycled.
