Hypoglycemic Activity of the Fruits of Benincasa hispida Found in State of Tripura, India
Author(s): Kaushik Chakraborty, Mousumi Datta (Guha), Anupam Guha, Ratna Choudhury, Biplab DeThe ethyl acetate fraction from the methanolic crude extract of the fruits of Benincasa hispida growing in state Tripura, India, showed no toxic effect on haematological parameters, though able to show significant hypoglycemic activity in mice against alloxan induced diabetes.
