In the present study high quality single crystals of KClx Br1-x (Composition x=0.2, 0.5, 0.8) were, grown by the slow evaporation technique under room temperature. The structural properties have been studied by powder X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis. The Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrum is taken for all the samples to study the spectroscopic properties of the grown crystals. The micro hardness measurements were carried out on the grown crystals to estimate the mechanical properties. The optical properties of the grown samples were determined from UV-Visible absorption and transmission spectra. The thermal properties were studied from Thermogravimetric/Differential Thermal Analyzer (TG/DTA) analysis.
