An efficient microwave heating methodology for the synthesis of Isatin containing oxadiazole moiety is reported. Each compound was obtained with high yield and purity in a few minutes. The synthesized compounds (7a-d) were characterized using Infra-Red (IR), Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H-NMR) and mass spectra. Comparison with conventional synthesis indicated the enhanced yield with faster reactions under microwaves.
