Phytochemical investigation of Ruelia patula, Luffa cylindrica and Llephantopus scaber

ABSTRACT
The phytochemical studies on the plant of Ruelia patula, Luffa cylindrica and Elephantopus scaber resulted in isolation of 7-hydroxy 1 methyl coumarin, Stigmasterol, Stigmasterol- 6- en- 3 beta -ol, Campesterol, Dicoumarals, CU I, CUII, CUIII, Lupeol acetate, Triacontanol and Molephantinon are being reported for the first time from this plant. These compounds have been characterized on the basis of spectral and other data.
